Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) reported that, as a result of a special operation in the Ramensky district of the Moscow Region, three lines of the Koltsevoy oil products pipeline were damaged. According to the HUR, the pipeline was used to pump gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet kerosene intended to meet the needs of the Russian military.
“The anti-drone network and the ‘protection’ of the enemy facility by paramilitary units did not help. All three lines used by the aggressor to transport gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel were successfully and simultaneously blown up. The oil products pipeline has been disabled. Another successful HUR operation on Russian territory is a serious blow to the military capabilities of the aggressor state, as well as to its economy, particularly in the Moscow Region,” the agency stated.
The 400-kilometer-long Koltsevoy pipeline transported fuel from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow oil refineries. According to the HUR, it was capable of pumping up to 3 million tons of jet fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline annually.
HUR director Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov commented on the operation, saying, “In reality, our strikes have had more impact than sanctions. That’s a mathematical fact. Our direct action has inflicted far greater damage on Russia than any economic levers that have been put in place so far.”
